Hi. I need to pack my ice cream tubs this week and now things are getting real!!! Please give your recommendation of what has worked for you - and optional extras e.g. I just came off a week on the Amatola trail and my nightly little sachet of Amarula was a winner, as were nuts, droe wors and a snicker bar.
While in general life I avoid sugar - I have found over the years on strenuous events like IM or Joberg2C that I need my regular Gu's - especially as I struggle to eat real food - even half a baby potato is a push. That's at race pace and high intensity, though.
I'm planning 21 days - so most days have an interim "lunch" stop, right?
Any advice appreciated.

Few bits of advice: Make sure biltong/dry wors is vacuum sealed. Degreaser "infects" all other food with its smell/flavour no matter how well sealed. Rather avoid Variation is good. you will get tired of snacks with 20 identical tubs After the first few days most people start to crave more savory snacks than sugary sweets There is often quite a lot of 'leftovers' from other riders and withdrawn riders so dont overpack and also good for mixing things up. Avoid liquids as leakage is catestrophic (for your tub and everyone else's) Seal your tub with coloured tape so easy to identify in pile of tubs on arrival at SS
